Early Childhood Education Alumnus
A 1999 graduate of Haverhill High School, Lisa was inspired to begin college with the birth of her son in 2001. “He made me realize that I wanted to work with children and teach preschool.”
After dropping off her son at the Little Sprouts Child Care Center on the Haverhill Campus, Lisa would attend classes, hit the books (she earned all A’s while at the college), and get connected with extra curricular activities at the college such as Student Senate, the Student Ambassador Program, the Leadership Development Program, and the Young Mothers’ Group.
Volunteering at her son’s child care center led to a job offer. She's now employed as a preschool teacher at the Little Sprouts Child Care Center in Lawrence.
After taking a break, she plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Fitchburg State College. Since the college offers courses on Northern Essex’s Haverhill Campus, she won’t have to go far to continue!
