Are you an RN looking to specialize in critical care nursing? Then NECC’s Critical Care Nursing Certificate is for you.

At NECC, the Critical Care Nursing Certificate is designed to provide nurses who are currently working in non-critical care areas with the knowledge and skills necessary to move into positions in emergency departments, intensive care units, or post-anesthesia care units. This two-semester, four-course certificate program includes courses in advanced dysrhythmia recognition and management, pathophysiology, critical care nursing theory, and managing the equipment frequently used the care of critically ill patients.
Graduates will be able to pursue many career paths, and could work in intensive care units, cardiac care units, emergency departments, or post-anesthesia care units. Job prospects are excellent and are expected to continue to grow.
Accreditation
The Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), 61 Broadway, NY, NY, 10006, 212.363.5555 ext.153. The Nursing Program is approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
Certification
The American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) offers a certification examination for critical care nurses.
