Music Associate Degree
Overview
Is music your passion? Do you want to perform, create, or teach music? Then NECC's associate degree in music is for you.
NECC's Associate Degree in Liberal Arts: Music Option provides you with a foundation for success in musical performance, music education, and music technology. You will gain skills in music theory and ear-training, perform and experience music from all cultures and styles, learn how to read and write music, and take part in performance workshops. In addition to classroom activities, you can perform in the NECC Music Ensembles or participate in the Choral and Music Club.
The program is suited either to students who want to transfer to a four-year college or those who want to begin or continue an interest in music.
Graduates will be able to pursue many career paths, including musical performance, music education, music business, and music computer technology.
