2012-2013

Darren Stratton will be beginning his 13th season at NECC. After a disappointing 9-16 season in 2011-2012, Coach Stratton and his assistants, Joe Tardiff and Nick Nofi, hit the recruiting trail hard bringing in 8 talented recruits. There are 2 All Globe/Herald All-Scholastic selections, 1 ESPN Boston MIAA All Stater, and 3 All League players. There is a returning veteran core of 7 Sophomores, all with in game playing experience. This is probably the biggest roster that Coach Stratton has had, as 5 players are listed at 6’5” or taller. This should be a fun and exciting team to watch, as NECC will play an up tempo style and use different pressing defenses. Defense will once again be a key, as the Knights were ranked 12th in the nation in NJCAA Division 3 last season. One goal will be to improve on that ranking. As always, the goal is to make the Region 21 tournament and with Roxbury CC, Mass Bay CC, Bristol County CC, and Bunker Hill CC in the Eastern half of the Region, it will be no easy task. Rest assured Knight fans, Coach Stratton, his assistants, and players will be up to the challenge!
