Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 18th at 10:45 a.m. in the quadrangle next to the gymnasium at the Haverhill Campus.

Please note: Individuals who graduated in August 2012, December 2012, and those who have petitioned for May 2013, and August 2013 are encouraged to participate.

Commencement Day

There is NO rehearsal for Commencement. You must arrive for pre-ceremony activities no later than 10:00 a.m. on May 18th. You must arrive for pre-ceremony
activities no later than 10:00 a.m.on May 18. Signs will be posted. All guests must be seated by 10:30 a.m. Report to the Sports and Fitness Center and assemble in the gymnasium by program. The Processional begins at 10:45 a.m. promptly and . All students attending the Commencement ceremony will receive a diploma cover at the ceremony. Your actual diploma will be mailed by July 15.

Academic Requirements

Spring 2013 grades will not all be processed until after the Commencement Ceremony on May 18. Therefore, the final evaluation of your graduation applications will not occur until the beginning of June. Diplomas will be mailed by July 14 to all of those who have met their academic and program requirements, and have maintained a GPA of 2.00 or above.

Honors Status

Students who have petitioned to graduate for May 2013 should be aware that your honors designation, as it appears on the graduation program, is reflective of your final Fall 2012 GPA.

Cap, Gown, Hood and Invitations

There is no longer a graduation fee, which would have increased to $75 this year. Since we are not charging this fee, you will need to purchase your cap and gown. The College has paid for your invitation and graduation hood. The cost of the cap and gown is $19.98.

Your graduation packet, which includes a cap, gown, tassel, hood, and invitation, will be available for pick-up in the Haverhill campus bookstore only, starting Thursday, April 11. The Haverhill Bookstore hours are as follows:

Monday through Thursday:  9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Monday and Tuesday:  9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday:  9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Friday:  9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Monday through Thursday:  9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You are also invited to attend our first annual Graduation Fair where you can pick up your caps and gowns. The Fair will be held on the Lawrence Franklin St. campus, Bookstore on April 23, and on the Haverhill campus, Behrakis One-Stop Student Services, Bookstore, first floor on April 25, from noon to 6:30 p.m.

Invitations and Guest Seating

One invitation will be given to each student along with a cap, gown, and hood. You and your guests do not need an invitation to attend however, to ensure seating for all guests please limit the number of guests that you invite to attend the ceremony. Seating is available on a first come first served basis. Guest should be seated by 10:30am. Students will begin processing into the tent at approximately 10:45 a.m.

Please note that children will not be allowed to march or sit with the graduates during the ceremony. Please make prior arrangements to have your children accompanied by an adult while attending Commencement.
