National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
NCMEC’s mission is to help prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation, help find missing children, and assist victims of child abduction and sexual exploitation, their families, and the professionals who serve them. NCMEC serves as the national resource center and information clearinghouse for missing and exploited children with a 24-hour hotline and online tip line. The website operates with a listing by state of missing persons complete with a photo and description of the missing person. NCMEC works with the public, families, and law enforcement associated with each case.

National Runaway Switchboard (NRS)
The mission of the NRS is to help keep America’s runaway and at-risk youth safe and off the streets. The organization serves as the federally designated national communication system for runaway and homeless youth. NRS provides education and solution-focused interventions, offers non-sectarian, non-judgmental support, respects confidentiality, collaborates with volunteers, and responds to at-risk youth and their families 24 hours a day. NRS’s crisis hotline is available 24-hours a day throughout the United States and its territories, including Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam.
