Why do I need an NECC ID? ID's are required for each student. Your validated NECC College ID card grants you access to the NECC labs, the photography labs, NECC libraries, The Wellness and Fitness Center and allows you to participate in most programs run by Student Activities FREE of charge. Your NECC ID also allows you to receive discounts at a variety of local businesses. A full listing can be found on the Student Activities webpage.
How do I obtain an NECC ID? You will need to bring a copy of your current class schedule to Student Activities on either campus. Your ID will be ready in minutes!
When and Where should I obtain my NECC ID? ID's are processed at the Sport & Fitness Building , D-117 on the Haverhill campus and in Dimitry L-133 on the Lawrence campus.

Your initial
ID is free of charge. At the beginning of each semester you will be
required to obtain a validation sticker. If you lose your ID there is

To help you become more successful at NECC, you may want to check out our Student Success website at http://www.necc.mass.edu/success/index.php. There are test-taking tips, study skills techniques, information about your professor's expectations, and other college resources. We encourage you take advantage of this site throughout your career at NECC.
In addition to the Student Success site, we have an online video available about success tips for both inside and outside the classroom. UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
Winterfest - February 6th on the Haverhill Campus, Sport & Fitness Center from 11AM - 1PM and February 11th on the Lawrence Campus, Dimitry Building Atrium. Come celebrate the Chinese New Year as a part of Winterfest. Have your name written in Chinese Characters, drink some green tea and learn the benefits of doing so, have your name written on a grain of rice, and much more! Student Life Departments will be there along with Health Quarters. There will be crab rangoon (limited quantity available) and other Asian treats, free with a Valid NECC College ID. NECC Blood Drive - February 20th on the Haverhill Campus, Technology Center, TC 103B from 10AM - 3PM. Did you know there is no substitute for human blood? Donating blood rarely hurts. To see what it feels like, pinch your skin at your elbow joint. We are asking for your help to donate your blood. To schedule an appointment to donate, please contact Cynthia Therrien at the Center for Adult & Alternative Studies at 978/556-3775. PARTICIPATE AND WIN
Last semester, the Student Engagement Center introduced the Knights card, and opportunity to register to win $100 Barnes and Noble gift cards just for participating in Student Life activities. We had several winners, some students submitted more than one card. The more you participate, the more opportunities available! Students like Lathon Jones-Downing Katie Freeman, Corey Rappsilber and Adam Lowe were regulars in the Sport & Fitness Center and were big winners here. You, too, can be a winner! Just check out the activities listed on the right column, attend 10 activities, at least two events must be from different areas, and you have a chance to win one of twelve $100 gift certificates to the Barnes & Noble Bookstore (two for faculty/staff and ten for students). If you have not yet picked up your Knights card, you can pick one up from Student Activities, Athletics, Recreation & Intramurals or the Wellness & Fitness Center. Attend, and have your card punched at 10 NECC College Life events. If you card is full, turn it in to the Student Activities & Orientation Department at D-117 at the Sport & Fitness Center or L-133 on the Lawrence Campus.
