Faculty Resources

Staff at work
Our goal at the Academic Resource & Tutoring Center is to work collaboratively with departments and instructors to identify the diverse needs of our students, through a variety of tutorial supports, encourage students’ academic success.
Tutoring is available to your students across the main subject areas of college-level Writing and Math, Accounting, Science, and Computer Science on a walk-in basis. No appointment is necessary.
Walk-in tutorials are available on the Haverhill campus, Spurk, C-210, and in the Lawrence campus library.
Students may request study groups for individual classes, which are led by peer tutors. Study groups form throughout the course of the semester as students make requests. To complement our tutorials, workshops are provided on such topics as Research Writing, Study Skills, and Stress Management. Some instructors opt to incorporate these workshops into their course syllabi, while others offer extra credit. In addition to providing academic support to our students, we would also like to encourage faculty to use the following ARTC resources:
- Office tours and brief in-class presentations detailing ARTC services. Contact the Academic Resource & Tutoring Center at 978-556-3411.
- Writing consultations/presentations
- Learning and Study Skills Strategies (LASSI)
- Study-skills support
As always, the Academic Resource & Tutoring Center staff is open to your ideas and suggestions. We encourage you to continue referring students to the ARTC, both as tutees and as tutors.
Your referrals contribute to the success of the Academic Resource & Tutoring Center!
