Program Overview

Would you like to prepare for a career working with state-of-the-art electronic devices? Do you enjoy attention to detail, have strong problem solving skills, and work well with others? Then NECC’s Electronic Equipment Technology Certificate is for you.

This certificate is also a great option to complete in conjunction with Engineering Science: Technology Option – Electronic Technology Concentration.This program will prepare you for an entry-level career in electronic technology, and combines theory with hands-on laboratory experiences. The Electronic Equipment Technology Program is offered in the evening.

Career Opportunities

NECC’s Electronic Equipment Technology Certificate will prepare you to pursue entry-level jobs as electrical/electronic technicians, which involves helping design, develop, test, and manufacture electrical and electronic equipment and solve technical problems; or as electronic equipment servicing technicians, which involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining electronic systems, equipment, and products.

Getting Started

Ready to get started? It’s easy! Northern Essex has an open admissions policy, which means that if you have a high school diploma or GED/HiSet or other state-approved equivalency credential, you are eligible to enroll at NECC. Just fill out an application, attend an orientation/assessment session, and then register for classes.
