AutoCAD 2016

This course is intended for the new user to CAD design who is seeking to obtain fundamental training as well as the existing user who desires to learn skills in advanced methods. Concentration on fundamental baseline essentials through advanced features will be introduced and examined with the goal of providing the user with a full complement of tools for creating, editing and managing drawings in a practical way. Topics included are: GUI introduction, file management, command direction, drawing tools, precision accuracy tools, editing, layers, layouts, blocks and design center. This course primarily focuses on 2D applications but a basic theory of 3D will be covered. No previous CAD experience is necessary; however students should have a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows.

Textbook: The instructor will discuss with students on the first night of class.
