Introduction to Excel 2013

Learn spreadsheet basics and design, including creating, editing, formatting, and printing. Use formulas and functions containing cell references to automate calculations.  We also cover Excel charting features. Students should have keyboarding and computer experience.

Intermediate Excel 2013

Learn techniques for large spreadsheets such as freezing headings. We examine the solver tool, IF function, references between worksheets and workbooks, sorting data, cell and range formatting, creating, editing and customizing charts, absolute and relative cell references, using named ranges, and creating a template.

Advanced Excel 2013

Learn to use lookup functions, pivot tables, and macros. Utilize advanced formatting and analysis tools, use Visual Basic editing to modify a macro, and create user defined functions.

Excel 2013: Advanced Topics

This class will cover some advanced Excel topics, including text concatenation methods, data analysis tools, conditional formatting, 3-D references, formula auditing/error tracking, data tables, and pivot table techniques. Participants are invited to suggest topics and to bring spreadsheets to analyze in class.
