CLEP & DSST Exam Registration
Standardized Exam Registration
Any student is eligible to take CLEP or DSST Examinations. Students are encouraged to consult with their faculty advisor or the Advising Center regarding credit awards. Click here to see what CLEP exams are accepted at NECC.
1. CLEP® Registration and Fee Information:
The fee for each CLEP® exam is $80.00. CLEP® registration and payment must be made in advance by test-takers online through the College Board – My Account registration portal. Go to http://clep.collegeboard.org/. Print your registration ticket with your voucher number and bring it on the day of your exam. CLEP exams and optional essays are free to military personnel, and eligible civilian employees with proper military ID.
DSST Registration and Fee Information
DSST exams are Internet-based exams which you can get by going to the DSST website, http://www.getcollegecredit.com/pdfs/exam-list.pdf. NOTE: Not all test forms listed are available to each testing site. A confirmation will be sent to you upon receipt of your application and fee.
You must bring your school code with you for reporting purposes when you come to test. You can get this by either going to the DSST website, www.getcollegecredit.com, or calling your school for the code. You should confirm that your school does accept DSST credits.
The DSST Testing Fee of $80.00 per test is collected on the day of the test payable by valid credit card or debit card. Personal checks and cash payments cannot be accepted.

4. You will receive confirmation materials when payment is received and authorized.
Acceptable forms of primary identification include:
A current driver’s license
A current state or federal ID card
A current passport
A tribal ID card
A naturalization card or certificate of citizenship
Acceptable forms of secondary identification include:
A current employee ID
A current student ID
A Social Security card
A military ID
An unused ID from the primary choices above
All funded military candidates must present a current military ID and a second form of government-issued photo ID.
