This collaboration will enhance educational opportunities in the Merrimack Valley, and aims to provide seamless educational opportunities for students pursuing careers in biotechnology and laboratory sciences as long as they fulfill the prerequisites and requirements.

Partnership Details

Transfer Credits: GBA students who successfully complete the Biotechnology Certificate Program will be eligible to transfer a maximum of 19 credits towards NECC’s Certificate in Laboratory Science. This facilitates a smoother transition for students aiming to pursue an Associate of Applied Science in Laboratory Science.

Eligible Courses: The transferable credits cover essential courses such as Laboratory Methods, Biotechnology, Research Topics in Science, Microbiology, and Cell Biology.

Admission Requirements: While NECC retains full discretion over admission decisions, accepted students will benefit from the transfer credits, subject to the curriculum standards maintained by both institutions.

This partnership underscores NECC’s commitment to providing quality educational pathways and supporting student success in the STEM fields.

Either party may terminate the agreement with a 90-day written notice, ensuring that current students are not adversely affected.
