Scholarships Can Help You Pay for College
Scholarships are a great way to help defray your college costs. They can help cover the cost of tuition, books and supplies, health insurance and more. There are many scholarships you can apply for even if you are not eligible for financial aid. And if you do get financial aid, you can still apply for scholarships.
You Do Not Need to Repay Scholarships, and They Are Awarded Based on a Wide Variety of Factors Including:
- Academic performance
- Financial need
- Demonstrated commitment to a field of study
- Volunteer activities
- Support for transferring to a four-year school
- Compelling personal essay
- Military service
You can apply for most scholarships online. Last year, nearly 200 NECC students received $200,000 in scholarships so make sure you apply!
