If you think that registering for courses can be a confusing and frustrating experience, don’t wait another minute to contact our Business Team for help. Email us at CenterForBusinessAndAccounting@necc.mass.edu

We want you to understand and be in control of the choices you make during your time here at NECC, so we’ve created this site in hopes of addressing those lingering questions and demystifying some of the Registration myths.

Different ways NECC provides courses

In the Fall, we identify the courses by using some of the old definitions mixed with some new ones:

First, let’s look at some of the old definitions:

  • Online:¬†Completely online with no classroom meetings
  • Hybrid:¬†Online course with some limited classroom meetings
  • Web-Enhanced: Traditional class meetings with required web assignments
  • Web Companion:¬†Traditional class meetings with supplemental web assignments

Some of the new definitions:

  • On-Campus: Physical Face-to-Face course on a specific day and time
  • Required Online Meeting Time: Online (Zoom) Meeting on a specific day and time

Oh, and if are you wondering what the “U” stands for in UMTWRFS? It’s for Sunday, but Business doesn’t offer any Sunday courses at this time.
