PART-TIME PATHWAYS (3 to 5 years) are available for most degrees. To qualify to take college-level classes, some students may be required to take college preparation classes first.

  • Transfer credits towards bachelor’s degree using one of NECC’s Transfer Agreements
  • Program is also designed to assist students in meeting the Specific Admissions requirements needed for acceptance into other health programs i.e. Medical Assistant, Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory etc.

Helpful Hints

  • A grade of “C’ or better  is required in all HES and science courses to graduate
  • A minimum of 62 credits is required to graduate, but depending on the area of Health Specialization chosen, more than 62 credits may be required
  • All sciences taken toward the completion of this program must be ones in which deals with or study the human system
  • Students should work with an advisor to plan his/her unique path with this program
  • Students in Certificate programs should take the General Education courses, such as History, Math, Literature, while completing their Certificate program.
  • Milestone course = Science Electives (7-8 credits). Choose 2 Science electives at the level listed or higher BIO101, CHM111, PHS111 MAT111 or higher. Students cannot use BIO112, BIO117, BIO215, BIO230, BIO280, SCI100 or higher, ERS100 or higher

Milestone Courses

Milestone courses are the most important for success in the program, should be taken in the sequence shown, and may require certain grades or other outcomes for your continued progress toward graduation. They may also cover most, or all the six core skills required for graduation.
