PART-TIME PATHWAYS (3 to 5 years) are available for most degrees. To qualify to take college-level classes, some students may be required to take college preparation classes first.

Program Snapshot

  • Learn how to represent engineering designs graphically and use two-dimensional computer aided drafting software,  three-dimensional solid modeling and printing
  • Produce architectural, mechanical, and electrical-based engineering drawings
  • Practice working in design teams, and produce projects which reflect real-world applications
  • Apply credits earned in the certificate program to NECC’s Associate degree in Engineering Science: Civil/Environmental and Mechanical concentration or Engineering Science: Technology Option Mechanical Concentration
  • Mixture of classroom and lab-based learning.

Helpful Hints

  • Students may need additional math, reading, or writing courses prior to starting the technology certificate core courses. It is advised to take assessment tests as soon as possible in order to establish first set of courses.

Milestone Courses

Milestone courses are the most important for success in the program, should be taken in the sequence shown, and may require certain grades or other outcomes for your continued progress toward graduation. They may also cover most, or all the six core skills required for graduation.
