Welcome NECC Graduates & Guests
We know this is an exciting time for you too! Below you will find helpful information about attending the graduation ceremony.
Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2021, in the quadrangle in front of the gymnasium on the Haverhill Campus. Please note: Individuals who graduated in December 2019, May 2020, August 2020, December 2020, and those who have petitioned for May 2021, and August 2021 are encouraged to participate.

You must arrive no more than half an hour prior to your ceremony start time. Report to the quadrangle in front of the gymnasium. Signs will be posted. All students attending the Commencement Ceremonies will receive a diploma cover at the ceremony. Your actual diploma will be mailed by July 9.
Caps, Gowns, and Tickets
Caps, gowns, and tickets are available for pick-up at the Haverhill Campus bookstore, starting Friday, April 16 – May 13. The cost of the cap, gown and tassel is $36. Gowns only are $26.70. Honors cords are also available at an additional cost of $5.50. Students will be given a graduation yard sign, a NECC logo mask (to be worn at Commencement) a lanyard name card/ticket, and two guest lanyard tickets when picking up their caps and gowns. Tickets MUST be presented to enter the commencement ceremony. No exceptions.
Invitations and Guest Seating
2 guest tickets will be given to each student. You and your guests will need your lanyard ticket to attend. Guest seating will be available in pods of 2 and will be separated from other parties.
There are several parking lots available on campus and all have designated handicap spots with the exception of the SC (Behrakis Student Center) lot and the C (Spurk Building) lot. Guests will be directed by public safety personnel to the C lot as they drive on to campus. If a guest requires access to a handicap space, please ask the public safety officer stationed at the campus entrance to assist you. In case of inclement weather guests are welcome to stay in their car and watch the event’s live stream – WiFi is available in the TC (Tech Center) lot, the SC (Behrakis Student Center) lot, and the Library lot. Please note the speed limit on campus is 15 miles per hour and watch for one-way roads, which have signage and are also denoted on the Haverhill Campus map.
