CLEP & DSST General/Subject Exams
Northern Essex Community College awards CLEP & DSST credits earned by the achievement of the required scores as listed in the following Charts. The score requirements are set through the recommendation of the American Council on Education and based on review by faculty at Northern Essex Community College.
The American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) has recently evaluated CLEP processes and procedures for developing, administering, and scoring the CLEP exams. Per the ACE recommendations for CLEP Credit-Granting Recommendations, candidates can earn up to 9 credits in the Foreign Language CLEP exams at Northern Essex Community College.

*Please check with test administrator as to when College Composition exam scores and the College Level Spanish with Writing Exam scores are mailed out. These scores can take up to five weeks to receive. Therefore students should plan accordingly.
