German Air Raid

You will hear of a harrowing event that took place on December 2, 1943. Known as America’s Second Pearl Harbor, a German air raid on the Harbor at Bari, Italy leaves thousands dead including an 18 year old sailor from Haverhill. For over fifty years, his family knew very little because Allied leaders covered up the event.

Forensic Science Roadshow

Venture into the world of CSI with this interactive lecture that introduces you to the fascinating subject of forensic science. Subjects include; MA State Police Crime Lab, functions of a Forensic Scientist, blood, DNA, fingerprints, gunshot residue, footwear impressions, metal detectors, and crime lights.

Speaker; Paul Zambella, a Former Forensic Scientist at the MA State Police Crime Lab for 36 years, who participated in over 500 crime scene investigations and testified for more than 350 criminal trials. Experienced lecturer and Instructor in Forensic Science.

Adult Day Care: An Important Long-Term Care Alternative & Potential Cost Saver 

Come hear how Adult Day Health programs can be a much-needed source of respite for caregivers who need a break from looking after their aging loved one. You will learn how these services attend to the medical, physical and emotional needs of the participants while providing caregivers with support, education, behavior management techniques and a community of support.

Crime Lab Case Files

 Hear about some of the most infamous cases of homicide, assaults and brutality in Massachusetts from a former forensic scientist. The focus of the lecture is on the forensic evidence and how it provided information, which was instrumental in assisting prosecutors to secure the conviction of each suspect. Due to the nature of the subject matter, this presentation is recommended for a mature audience.
