To schedule a public speaker from NECC Speakers Bureau, submit the Speaker’s Bureau Request Form.
Q. Is there a fee associated with requesting a speaker?
A. Speakers receive an honorarium of a minimum of $100 for each presentation. The honorarium goes directly to the speaker.
Q. When should I contact NECC in order to secure a speaker for a program?
A. The earlier you are able to make your request, the better the chances are of securing a speaker at a time that works for you.
Q. Who is available to speak?
A. Our Speakers Bureau website includes a full list of speakers and topics. If you are looking for a topic that isn’t listed, feel free to reach out and we will do our best to connect you with a speaker from the college.
Q. Can the speaker tailor the program to my group’s needs?
A. Each speaker will make every effort to present an interesting, appropriate presentation for your specific group.
Q. Do I contact the speaker directly?
A. No. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 978-556-3862.
Q. Will I have the opportunity to speak with the speaker before the event?
A. We can make arrangements for you to contact the speaker either via phone or email before the scheduled event.
Q. We would like to promote our event. Are there any marketing materials available?
A. Once your speaker is confirmed, we will send you a topic description, bio, and high res jpeg photo. We ask you to credit the Northern Essex Community College Speakers Bureau in your promotions, and, if your event is open to the public, we will help publicize by sharing on our own social media channels.
