You can search for test centers near you at any time, and you can find available test dates and times online through your HiSET or GED account.

Each state may have its own requirements for testing, so be sure to check your state’s requirements before you schedule an appointment to take the test.

  • Registration for HiSET

    To register and set up your account to schedule appointments for the HiSET™, please go to HiSET™ website or contact ETS/HiSET Customer Service at 1-855-MyHiSET (1-855-694-4738).

    Cost

    The cost for taking the HiSET™ test in Massachusetts (effective January 1, 2017) is: $100.00/battery ($24 for the 1st sub test, $19 for the remaining 4 sub tests in the initial battery), $9/retest (up to two per sub test, within one year of initial test), $19/sub test (after one year from initial test)

  • Registration for GED

    To register and set up your account to schedule appointments for the GED, please go to MyGED website. You will connect seamlessly to Pearson VUE scheduling to select your test date.

    Cost

    The cost for taking the GED test in Massachusetts (effective January 1, 2017) is: $125/battery ($31.25/module), $10/retest (up to two per module, within one year of the initial test), $30/retest (after one year from initial test)

  • Accommodations for HiSET

    Individuals with documented disabilities or health related needs may request special accommodations for HiSET™ testing. For information please go to HiSET™ website, or call ETS/HiSET™ Customer Service at 1-855-MyHiSET (1-855-694-4738). All complete requests for testing accommodations must be sent to:

    HiSET™ is available in English and Spanish; however, you may not combine English and Spanish sub tests. All sub tests must be taken in one language to qualify for the credential. Not all test centers have the Spanish Test available; please check the HSE Test Centers website to verify if the test center does Spanish testing.

    GED Testing Service is committed to ensuring access to the GED® test for all individuals with disabilities and supports the intention of the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA).

Requirements for HiSET & GED Retesting

HiSET Policy: A candidate can take only three versions of the same sub test in a calendar year.

GED Policy: GED has a 60-day wait period rule to retest after the third sub test.

Your High School Equivalency (HSE) Credential

To receive your official high school credential you must sign up at Diploma Sender’s website.

Your initial credential and first official transcript are free. Once you have signed up and verified your address your document will be mailed to you within 24 hours.

Any inquiries regarding your official documents and verifying you have your Massachusetts High School Equivalency Credential should be directed to Diploma Sender.
