Come to the Art Show for Vaughn Abbott’s Exhibit: “Effigies and Transformations: A Digital Art Show”

The exhibit will be displayed in the the Linda Hummel-Shea ArtSpace in the Harold Bentley Library March 2 through April 3. The exhibit includes 20 graphic design pieces created by Vaughn.
Inspired by poster and album cover designers including Kelly-Mouse, Rick Griffin, Peter Max, Storm Thorgerson, and Aubrey Powell, Abbott says he is constantly trying to “create images that take ordinary elements from nature, including humans, animals, and landscapes and put a twist on them to catch your eye…both subtle and not-so-subtle ways are employed to hopefully hold your attention and give you pause…”
An Artist reception will be held on March 5 at 3:30. At the reception you can meet the artist and hear about the creation of his work.
The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Vaughn Abbott is a 2013 magna cum laude graduate of NECC.
