Commemorating Columbus Day in the Caribbean

Join Us for a Panel Discussion of Columbus Day in the Caribbean

Members of the college community, join us for this panel discussion. Topics of focus are:

  • How the lives of Native Americans in the Caribbean region quickly changed after Europeans arrived in Santo Domingo.
  • Consequently how Columbus Day is observed in the Caribbean.

Professors Andy Morse, Tom Greene and Liz Espinosa will lead the discussion.

The NECC International Studies Program “One Geographic Region” sponsors “First Friday” events focusing on the Caribbean and Central America.
