Mental Health First Aid Training (Session II)
February 25, 2022, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Friday afternoons, 2/18 and 2/25 from 1pm – 4pm
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training course that teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Just as CPR helps those without clinical training to assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
Course materials and certification provided. You must commit to the 2 half days from 1pm to 4pm plus two hours of self-paced work in order to be certified as a Mental Health First Aider.
Offered by the Center for Professional Development.
