Listen to Works Inspired by Peace

The Annual Peace Poetry Contest & Reading honors the ideal of peace through the creation and submission of works on the topic. Children and adults from the NECC area (K-12 classrooms, both public and private, and adults affiliated with these schools) can create and submit their original poems and artwork on the subject of peace.  Through this contest we seek to help students find a way to embrace the concept of peace, and to disavow violence and bullying in all forms.

Reading Event Date:

As life slowly transitions back to in-person events, we are mindful of the need for careful consideration and risk assessment for each individual event hosted at the college. To best ensure the safety and health of all participants, we have made the decision to pivot from an in-person event and to host the Peace Poetry event virtually for the 2022 year. 

In place of an in-person event, peace poetry will be shared on Instagram at 6 PM on May 20th.  Our Peace Poetry Instagram account can be found at https://www.instagram.com/NECCpeacepoetry/
