Public Presentation – “Lawrence: The Immigrant City”

Rich Padova, summer historical tour interpreter at Lawrence Heritage State Park and instructor in the NECC Global Studies Dept., Center for Adult Education and Lifelong Studies Program presents “Lawrence: The Immigrant City” on Sunday, March 6th, 2022 at 2 PM at Lawrence Heritage State Park, 1 Jackson Street at Canal.

This free, public presentation is sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Rev. James T. O’Reilly, OSA Division 8, who are celebrating their 150th anniversary this year. In his presentation, Rich will discuss Lawrence’s first immigrants — the Irish — through today’s immigrants from Latin America and Southeast Asia, and all groups in-between.
