Alex Maggio
Alex Maggio, writer and producer of Madam Secretary

We will feature a free screening of the “Night Watch” episode of the TV show “Madam Secretary” along with a discussion facilitated by Alexander Maggio, writer/producer and political advisor for the CBS TV hit political drama series Madam Secretary.

The episode “Night Watch” depicts a dramatization of a false alarm nuclear attack on the US, and subsequent US-Russian diplomacy resulting in an arms control treaty. Maggio will talk about the use of TV as a vehicle to raise awareness of political and social issues. This event will provide information and promote discussion about actions concerned citizens can take to reduce the threat of nuclear war.

Sponsored by the Civic Engagement Center, Center for Liberal Arts, and the Students for a Democratic Society.

Free and open to the public and NECC Students, faculty and staff.
