Watching the Lights Go Out: How A Devoted Dog’s Advancing Blindness Taught Timeless Life Lessons

April 20, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Watching the Lights Go Out” is the inspiring story of a charming, brave, chocolate lab that gradually loses her eyesight. The author leads the reader from the unexpected diagnosis of terminal blindness for his four-year-old pet to a two-year journey to sightlessness. Along the way, Bessie becomes an expert mentor and teacher to demonstrate how to age gracefully.

The author will read from his book and then lead a discussion about the topic. Bessie will join the author at the talk back.
