Spring Convocation 2023: Investing in Community Colleges as an Equitable Workforce Strategy

January 17, 8:00 am to 10:00 am

Winter Convocation

Please plan to join your campus colleagues on Tuesday, January 17 at 8:15 a.m. in Room TC103 of the David Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill Campus for our Spring 2023 Convocation, Investing in Community Colleges as an Equitable Workforce Strategy.

Our keynote speaker will be Jay Ash, former Massachusetts Secretary of Housing and Economic Development and current President & CEO of the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership, a non-profit, non-partisan, public policy group of chief executive officers of some of the Commonwealth’s largest businesses, including Bank of America, Liberty Mutual, the Kraft Group, Wayfair, and others.

Following the keynote address, Dean of Liberal Arts Amy Callahan will lead a conversation and Q&A with Mr. Ash and I about his presentation and recommendations.

In addition, a professional photographer will be available from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. to take portraits. If you are new to NECC or could use a new portrait, please plan to stop by and have your photo taken in the alcove next to the stairs in the atrium.

All employees are encouraged to attend. Please check with your supervisor as needed. If you are a member of the DCE bargaining unit, you are invited, though your attendance is not mandatory.
