ESOL Adult Career Pathways

If you possess an intermediate or higher level of English language skills and are committed to improving your English in order to get a better job, this free program is for you.

Improve Your Career Options

In this program, you will:

  • Improve your skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening,
  • Develop your career and work readiness skills and improve your mathematical, workplace communication, and technology skills.
  • Learn how to create a resume
  • Discover opportunities for careers in health care, technology, engineering, and manufacturing.

ESOL Adult Career Pathway Registration

Classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, September to December.

ESOL Bridge to College and Careers

If you have advanced English language skills and would like to prepare to go to college to earn a certificate or degree leading to employment, this free program is for you.

Earn up to six free college credits and develop college and career skills

The program offers classes to build skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening that are critical for job success, along with work readiness skills such as communication, technology and related mathematics.

The focus will be on careers in:

  • Health care
  • Business/technology
  • Lab science
  • Advanced manufacturing

Bridge to College and Careers Registration

This free 30-week program runs September through May, Monday – Thursday from 9 am -2 pm at the NECC Lawrence Campus, Riverwalk.
