Intro to SolidWorks New!
This course introduces the theory and application of SolidWorks; an industry standard solid modeling computer-aided design (CAD) program which is a tool that engineers and designers use to design products from initial design concept through manufacturing revisions and final product market launch. Students will explore a variety of techniques to achieve construction of 3 dimensional models, assemblies and 2 dimensional drawings of mechanical components which observe fundamental design intent to leverage the maximum productivity of this feature based tool to modify designs quickly and efficiently. General computer skill is preferred but is not necessary for admission. Instructor: John Bertorelli, experienced instructor, CAD and Engineering applications and Mechanical Engineer for a major life sciences company.
