Drones: An Introduction for Law Enforcement, Municipal Services and Public Use  NEW!

If you work for any government agency, local, state or federal, then this one-day seminar is critical if you are currently using or intend to utilize drones in the future.  This seminar will cover how drones are effective tools for Law Enforcement and Emergency Services, but there will also be an emphasis on how drones are also money saving tools for Departments of Public Works for survey mapping and inspection as well as for helping to protect conservation land.  This seminar will introduce you to the most common types of drones, their costs of operation and the major difference between aircraft.  There will be a heavy emphasis on the certification processes for government workers, as well as the insurance requirements and penalties of operating illegally.  Guidance will be provided in this session for developing community action plans along with safety management techniques to mitigate risk.  Not eligible for tuition waivers.

FAA Remote Pilot Exam Test Prep Course  NEW!

This 2-day program will prepare those even with minimal UAS experience for the FAA Remote Pilot written examination and covers current FAA requirements for drone operations applicable to both private and public entities, familiarizes you on current FAA remote pilot regulations and introduces both current and potential drone operators to some of the most common safety practices, including UAS safety management practices encouraged by insurance companies and risk managers plus learn key safety features of certain models as well as how to develop and follow sound checklist procedures and maintenance protocols.  This program covers all of the required knowledge content areas of the FAA’s Remote Pilot Test including regulations, the national airspace system, airspace classification, operating requirements, and flight restrictions, aircraft aerodynamics, aviation weather, aircraft loading and performance, flight operations, flight physiology, crew resource management and aeronautical decision making and emergency procedures.

Upon completion, students should feel more prepared, confident and qualified to take and pass the FAA Remote Pilot Test.  Includes books and handouts, sample test questions and more!  Not eligible for tuition waivers.
