Latin Social Dancing

Learn how to dance Salsa, Bachata and Merengue. We will learn to find the beat in the music and practice beginner footwork (right and left turns as well as the cross body lead). We will also learn how to dance with a partner (lead and follow). This is a great way to learn something new, make new friends and stay physically active. Bring comfortable shoes.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga is appropriate for beginners as well as the student who prefers a softer, more -meditative approach to yoga. Classes include warm-up stretching, postures, breath work, and deep relaxation, as well as an introduction to the larger philosophy of yoga. These practices promote strength, balance, flexibility, and mental focus, which in turn enrich one’s life “off the mat”. The instructor will offer a variety of modifications.

Advanced Directives and Living Wills: Who Will Speak for You?

In the event of illness or disability, is there someone you trust who can speak for you and communicate how you wish to be cared for if you are unable to do so? Learn the different types of Advanced Directives including Massachusetts Health Care Proxy and the “Five Wishes”. Class held at Merrimack Valley Hospice’s main office at the Riverwalk (360 Merrimack Street, Building 9, Entrance I, 4th floor) in Lawrence. Registration for this course is mandatory.

Refresh and review skills learned in Reiki I, receive the Reiki II attunements plus learn the Reiki I symbols which increases the power of your sessions.  Learn how to send long distance Reiki plus learn more about the flow of energy by doing more extensive hands-on work.  Discover ways and places to share your Reiki II knowledge and explore adding crystals to your Reiki I sessions.  Attunement and Level II certificate given upon successful  completion.   Limit 6.  Bring bag lunch & a 12+ inch stuffed animal or a pillow).
