A Northern Essex employee has tested positive for the coronavirus-caused COVID-19 illness and is under quarantine.
The employee has not been on campus since March 9 which, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP), means no one who was in contact with the individual is considered at risk, and no further precautions need to be taken.
Since this is the first known confirmed case of COVID-19 on our campus, we wanted to personally inform you. Should additional cases be diagnosed, we will post as much information as we can on our COVID-19 website.
