With about 60 academic programs and over 100 transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities, starting at NECC will get you well on your way to where you want to go!
Transfer Events & Campus Visits
Each semester, we offer Transfer Days on both NECC Campuses and additionally, several times per semester individual colleges come to campus so you to meet with them. Speak with their representatives, gather materials, and learn more about your options.

Joint Admission Opportunities
Northern Essex maintains joint admissions agreements with the following schools:
- UMass Lowell
- Salem State University
- Emmanuel College (BSN in Nursing Only)
- Regis College
Joint admissions agreements guarantee your acceptance if you:
- complete your associate’s degree
- have a GPA of 2.0 or higher (2.5 for Regis College Joint Admission students)

Transferring has been great and easy. Honestly, I think going to Northern Essex and then transferring to a four-year school is the way to go. You get a great education at a great cost. It’s an easy transition into a four-year college because NECC prepares you to be independent.
