Submitted by on March 1, 2011 – 10:09 am

The Life Long Learning Program at Northern Essex Community College is offering a class studying the Art of Humor Writing with feature columnist, Sharon Williams Tucker, starting March 9, 2011. This class will take place on Wednesdays from 1-3p.m. until April 13, 2011. The class will meet in the Technology Center, on the college’s Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott Street, in the Pailes Room.

This class, taught by Sharon Williams Tucker, will teach the art of writing funny stories. She will show how belly laughs are right outside your window or in your grocer’s aisle. Tuckers will teach you how to scout out the funniest fables and how to use them to your advantage in writing.

The cost of the course is $25. For more information or to register, contact Charlene Boucher, Life Long Learning Coordinator, at cboucher@necc.mass.edu or at 978-556-3825.

Life Long Learning is a program of lectures, study groups, and trips for adults. All programs are open to the public.
