NECC enjoys initiative and innovation from all employees and seeks to identify and develop the strengths in our faculty and staff. We are committed to using evidence-based planning and decision-making. These values are reflected in our work using Appreciative Inquiry to guide our focus.

Professional development is important to NECC. Employees are encouraged to participate in the NECC Leadership Academy in addition to a variety of professional conferences and training workshops. All new hires receive CliftonStrengths assessments as part of the on-boarding process. Our Center for Professional Development offers a robust calendar of training opportunities, including access to LinkedIn Learning.

We are committed to the recruitment, retention, and non-discrimination of a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve. NECC continues its efforts towards increasing the diversity of our faculty and is a proud member of Achieving the Dream, which aims to improve success for low-income students and students of color at community colleges.

We are seeking faculty and staff who are committed to the community college mission, actively engaged in promoting diversity, and prepared to use their unique strengths and innovation in the name of student success.

NECC offers a comprehensive suite of benefits, including generous vacation time; 11 paid legal holidays; a wide selection of health insurance options; and a selection of discount programs. In addition, employees have free access to our fitness center and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Our campuses—approximately 15 minutes apart by car—are conveniently located off of Interstate 495, offering easy access to Boston, Salem, Newburyport, and to local beaches and state parks.
