President David Hartleb reported that the city of Lawrence and the state have signed the purchase and sales agreement for the InTown Mall building, located on Common Street in Lawrence.  This moves the college one step forward toward building a health & technology center in the city.

Once the title to the building is passed—this is expected to happen very soon— the state will issue a request for proposals for demolition of the building currently located on the site.

“The funding is in place and we are expecting that the new building will be completed in the fall of 2013,” said Hartleb.
