British Comedy Presented at Northern Essex
The bedroom is brought to the stage when “Bedroom Farce” is presented by Northern Essex Community College’s Top Notch Players April 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and April 7 at 4 p.m. in the Chester W. Hawrylciw Theater on the third floor of the Spurk Building on the Haverhill campus.
This British play by Alan Ayckbourn, is an absurd and confusing farce comparing and contrasting the differences between couples, young and old, and the different troubles they encounter. The play takes place in three bedrooms during one night and the following morning. The cast
consist of four married couples. Kate and Malcolm are newlyweds, Jan and Nick have been married for a while, Trevor and Susannah are on the rocks, and Delia and Ernest just want a quiet evening, yet chaos ensues.
The Thursday, March 31, 7:30 p.m. dress rehearsal is free and open to high school students with an ID or note from a faculty member.
