May Day Celebrated During NECC Concert
May Day Carols, Hungarian folk songs, and a 20th century spiritual are just a few of the songs the Northern Essex Community College Chorus will perform during its Spring Concert on May Day, Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m. in the Technology Center on the Haverhill Campus.
During this annual concert students will perform a medley of songs spanning the 16th to the 21st centuries accompanied by the cello, the clarinet, and the piano.
“In celebration of May Day we will perform a few traditional May Day songs as well as songs from different periods,” says chorus director Alisa Bucchiere.
This event is open to the public. Tickets are $5 each and available at the door.
“This is a program that will have something for everyone,” says Bucchiere. “We have exceptional talent this year so the concert will be a real treat.”
Northern Essex Community College’s Haverhill Campus is located at 100 Elliott Street which is just off of rt. 495 at exit 52.
