Free Presentation on Jet Setting 101

Submitted by on August 3, 2011 – 9:56 am

On Tuesday, August 9, Marcy Vozzella of Portsmouth, NH, a world traveler and coordinator of the International Studies Program at Northern Essex Community College, will present a special presentation titled “Jet Setting 101: You Can see the World on a Budget” at the Hampstead Public Library, 9 Mary E. Clark Drive, Hampstead, NH.  Free and open the public, the presentation begins at 7 p.m.

This presentation is designed for those who dream of taking a hiatus from everyday life and have a long list of countries they would like to see with no idea on how to make their travel dreams a reality.  Vozzella will share her own travel triumphs and woes and help others discover how to make international travel an economic reality.

Vozzella is an assistant professor of Natural Sciences at Northern Essex in addition to coordinating the college’s International Studies Program.  Her love of the South American rainforest (she taught a Northern Essex course there this summer) led to a month spent in the summer of 2009 volunteering on a small farm/eco tourism center in Ecuador.

Vozzella is a graduate of Northeastern University (B.S.) and the University of New Hampshire (M.S.).

This presentation is made possible through the NECC Speakers Bureau which features NECC faculty and staff willing to speak on a variety of timely topics for nonprofit organizations.  For more information about the speakers bureau, visit the website https://www.necc.mass.edu/community-engagement/speakers-bureau/
