If you are a photographer, graphic designer, artist, or craft person interested in starting or expanding an existing business, you might be interested in a new noncredit program, From Artist to Entrepreneur, offered through Northern Essex Community College’s Workforce Development and Community Education division.

This six-week program will be held on Thursdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 27 through Dec. 8 (no class Nov. 24) at NECC Riverwalk, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence. The cost is $285 with a $28 materials fee.

Taught by Jodi Sammons Feil, a professional photographer, graphic designer, and owner of Rhapsody Studios with more than 20 years of experience, she will examine critical elements to start or expand a business. This will include looking at marketing and sales strategies, budgeting and financial recordkeeping, and the unique challenges in determining fair market prices.
