The Women of Northern Essex Community College recently held a fashion show at the Lanam Club in Andover featuring the fashions of Cristina’s and Dino International Furs, both of Andover. More than $4800 was raised to benefit the Women of NECC Scholarships.
In addition, the more than 100 attendees donated toys that were distributed to the nearly 50 children between the ages of 4 and 6, served by NECC’s Lawrence campus Childcare Center. There was also a live auction.
The Women of NECC are a volunteer organization dedicated to assisting Northern Essex Community College and its students. The organization generates funds for student scholarships and special projects by conducting a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, including a Fall Membership Tea and a June Gala Open House event.
