Stained Glass for the Beginner, a five-week, noncredit class taught by stained glass artist Carolyn Giddinge, owner of Cat’s Eye Glass Creations in Amesbury, will be offered Sept. 25 through Oct. 23 at her studio through Northern Essex Community College’s Personal Enrichment Program.

Participants will learn to create a 10 x 12 stained glass art panel in the color and design of choice in a studio setting using the copper foil method.

Materials needed include safety glasses and a disposable surgical mask. All other tools provided at the studio. Class size is limited to 6.

The class will be offered Tuesdays 6:30 to 9 p.m. The cost is $149 with a $25 materials fee.
