Learn How to Apply for Federal Financial Aid

Does the thought of filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) overwhelm you? Take control of your or your child’s student federal aid potential by attending FAFSA Day Massachusetts on Sunday, February 23rd, at Northern Essex Community College’s John R. Dimitry Building, 45 Franklin Street, Lawrence, 1 p.m.

Counselors will guide participants through the process of completing and filing a FAFSA application form online. Spanish translators will be available.

NECC is just one of more than two dozen locations throughout the state that will host FAFSA filing events.

FAFSA Day Massachusetts, a College Goal Sunday Program, is a non-profit, volunteer-driven program in its 10th year providing free assistance to students and families seeking to complete the FAFSA.

The FAFSA is the federally required form for all students seeking federal financial aid for higher education. Students attending college during the 2014-2015 academic year, must complete the 2014-2015 FAFSA, available after January 1, 2014, at www.fafsa.gov if they are interested in receiving federal and state financial aid.
