Haverhill Professional Joins NECC Board

Haverhill professional Pati Fernandez has joined the NECC Board of Trustees.

Haverhill resident Pati Fernandez, a local development and marketing professional, has been appointed to the Northern Essex Community College Board of Trustees by Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.

Fernandez, who is the director of the annual fund at The Pike School in Andover, is responsible for the planning, managing, and execution of the private school’s annual fund. She assists in establishing objectives and goals for the annual fund as well as creating strategies for growing the fund. She contributes to the development of all educational and branding materials for print, digital, and social media.

Prior to working at The Pike School she worked for Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley in Lawrence for nearly six years. She held a number of positions including director of marketing and most recently director of development and community programs.

She has served on a number of volunteer boards including the Lawrence Family Development Education Fund, Groundwork Lawrence, and Jericho Road, Lawrence.

She earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a public relations/marketing concentration and a master’s degree in communication management from Simmons College.

“We are honored to have such an accomplished local professional join our Board of Trustees,” said Northern Essex Community College President Lane Glenn.

The college’s Board of Trustees includes nine members who are appointed by the governor of the state to a maximum of two five-year terms as well as an alumni-elected member, who also serves a maximum of 10 years, and a student trustee who serves for two semesters.
