NECC’s CoOL Program Offers Panel on Hearing Loss

Submitted by on December 20, 2018 – 2:50 pm

Impaired hearing is a common problem that comes with aging.  That’s why Northern Essex Community College’s College of Older Learners (CoOL) is offering a free panel discussion titled “Don’t Buy that Hearing Aid Yet!”.  The panel will be held on Thursday January 3, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center, room 103A, Haverhill Campus.

The panel will provide helpful information on testing and on options for dealing with hearing loss. The perspective of moderator Tom Ellis, a life coach who is hearing impaired, will be shared along with Patricia Shea (B.S. Ed) community outreach educator with New England Hearing Care and Loleata Wigall (MS, CU-A, FAAA, 356-2) owner of In-Home Audiology.

With many years of experience in measuring and treating declining hearing function, all three panel members will discuss solutions to help find out what might work best for you, without the sales pitch.
