Student Government Association (SGA) at Northern Essex is excited to invite you to our first meeting and information session. You can join us in person or via Zoom (link available by emailing SGA Advisor Brianna Sorensen at bsorensen@necc.mass.edu).

At this session, you’ll learn about:

• Available SGA positions and the process of running for a role
• How SGA works to advocate for students, plan campus-wide events, govern clubs, and make a difference through community impact
• Ways SGA members raise and discuss student concerns and share them with senior administrators
• How SGA reviews budget requests from clubs and organizations and makes funding recommendations
• Opportunities to host events, oversee fundraising, and contribute to the class gift for Commencement
• Leadership development through serving as ambassadors at college functions, joining NECC committees, and presenting at All College Assembly meetings

Joining SGA is a great way to build self-confidence, independence, and leadership skills while shaping the student experience at NECC.
