NECC Hosts Renowned Author Julia Alvarez for Special Evening Event
Northern Essex Community College invites students, faculty, and the community to An Evening with Julia Alvarez, presented as part of the White Fund Enlightenment Series.

This special evening will feature a reading, conversation, and book signing with Julia Alvarez, the internationally acclaimed Dominican-American author of In the Time of the Butterflies and The Cemetery of Untold Stories. Known for her powerful storytelling and cultural insight, Alvarez will share her literary journey in a bilingual-friendly setting that is open and welcoming to all.
The event is free and open to the public. Lala Books will be on-site selling books in both English and Spanish.
Students are encouraged to attend and engage in this unique opportunity to connect literature with identity, community, and conversation.
